Return to Work Criteria for HCP with Suspected or Confirmed COVID-19

Symptomatic HCP with suspected or confirmed COVID-19 

  • Symptom-based strategy. Exclude from work until:

  • At least 3 days (72 hours) have passed since recovery defined as resolution of fever without the use of fever-reducing medications and improvement in respiratory symptoms (e.g., cough, shortness of breath); and,

    1. At least 10 days have passed since symptoms first appeared

Staff must communicate with site RN on a daily basis, updating RN of their symptoms and when they last took fever reducing medications. RN must give final approval before a staff can return to work.
